Ben Langelaan is trained as a materials engineer and obtained a PhD in Chemical Engineering at Delft University of Technology. From 1995 to 2002 he worked as a researcher at Wageningen University & Research on topics such as extrusion, separation technologies and mild preservation methods. In the next eight years, Ben was responsible for the development and optimization of manufacturing processes for solid and liquid pharmaceuticals within NV Organon. In June 2010 Ben was appointed as head of  the research group Food Technology of Wageningen Food & Biobased Research. His current work focuses on product and process innovation for the food industry, with emphasis on mild preservation technology, biorefinery and resource efficiency. Ben Langelaan foto - webklaar
